| TIME: | 9:00 am -- 4:00 pm |
| LOCATION: | Wal-Mart Supercenter |
| North Main Street, Shelbyville |

The United Way of Bedford County is partnering with Wal-Mart and the Bedford County School System to make sure needy children in Bedford County have school supplies this school year. Residents can “Stuff the School Bus” with donated school supplies, which will then be donated to local schools in Bedford County.
A school bus will be parked at the Shelbyville Wal-Mart Supercenter. Volunteers will be staffing the bus to assist patrons who wish to donate supplies.
This year, the need is great. Dawn Holley, United Way of Bedford County Executive Director said, “If everyone could just pick up some of the items listed on the school supply list on their way to the checkout and drop it by the bus it would make a huge difference.” Suggested items include: Zip-Lock Bags (quart & gallon), KinderNap Mats, Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer, Dry Erase Markers, Glue Sticks, Wide-Rule Paper, Single Spiral Notebooks, Dividers, Plastic Clutter Boxes, Klenex Tissues, Solid Colored Folders with Pockets and Brads. A complete list can be obtained at the Wal-Mart Supercenter service desk or online at www.unitedwaybedford.org.
Other banks and business in Bedford County have also graciously agreed to be drop sites for supplies for the month of July.
